New 2018 Audi Q3

2018 Audi Q3 Overview

New/Notable
  • Standard S line styling
  • Front- and all-wheel drive options
  • MMI navigation system is available
The 2018 Audi Q3 is a luxury compact SUV that seats five passengers. It competes with the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA 250, and Volvo XC60. This year, it remains largely unchanged, but the trim levels have been consolidated down to two – the Premium and Premium Plus.

Exterior
Overall, the Q3 maintains a sporty, sleek appearance with its S line front bumper, door sills, and badging. The front-end features a bold, hexagonal front grille, geometric headlights, and a chiseled lower fascia. Standard features include Xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, power/heated side mirrors with LED turn-signal indicators, a dual-pipe exhaust system, aluminum roof rails, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Full LED headlights, a power liftgate, and larger 19-inch titanium wheels are optional.

Under the Hood
The Q3 is powered by a standard 204-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that produces 258 pounds-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard, while Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system optional. Fuel economy ratings are estimated at 20/29 mpg city/highway for FWD models, with AWD dropping the highway rating by one.

Interior
The Q3 has premium leatherette seating with a 60/40 split-folding rear seat. It has 48.2 cubic feet of maximum cargo room. The center stack features a standard MMI multimedia system, which includes CD/MP3 playback and Bluetooth connectivity for phone and audio. It can be upgraded with an integrated navigation system, 4G LTE connectivity with a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a Bose premium audio system. Standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and a panoramic moonroof. Power/heated front seats, leather-wrapped shift knob, interior LED lighting, and an automatic dimming rearview mirror are also available.

Safety
At the time of this writing, the IIHS and NHTSA had not release their safety ratings for the Q3. Standard safety features include a backup camera, front/rear parking sensors, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Audi Connect services for roadside assistance and vehicle locator are also available.
